Our Mission

Yoga: a Sanskrit word meaning "to join" or "to unite". Yoga’s goal is self-realization, which occurs when consciousness is turned inward and united with the Self. • <—says the dictionary.

The truth is yoga means something different to everybody. To us it is a practice that brings wellness and clarity into the body and mind. This yoga has been a vehicle of healing; physically, spiritually and emotionally. During periods when we made time to practice regularly we found ourselves experiencing better focus, better health, better empathy, better outlook, better moods. We strived for more of this feeling, the talk we knew we desired to walk. We came to a point of realization that a big change was imminent and a great leap of faith was needed. Luckily, the direction of the leap was clear as day. Bikram Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga Sport 200 Hour, ChildLight Children's Yoga and Mindfulness, and Inferno Hot Pilates trainings were collected and devoured, and a dream took hold.

We are Dan Vineis and Grace Spencer, partners in life and business and owners of Plymouth’s new studio, Hot Yoga 1620. The leapers who are so incredibly excited to share our knowledge and experience of this life changing practice with all we can reach.

We decided, when embarking on this project, that Hot Yoga 1620 would be the most approachable, accessible, and welcoming studio possible, and that we would focus on guiding any and all interested souls onto this path of understanding: that self care is not a luxury. Your body and mind need preventative maintenance. As much as society preaches otherwise, you cannot run on an empty tank. Taking time to fuel up ensures you have plenty of gas for wherever your road leads, and that you’ll have plenty to share with anyone in need along the way.

We have owned and operated DV Welding Inc for the past 7 years. This experience affords us the unique understanding of the trades, and of the grueling toll working in these fields can take on your entire wellbeing. EVERY body needs yoga. So if you think you’re not flexible, too old, too tired, too sick, you don’t wear spandex, it’s too elitist, you won’t fit in: consider yourselves warned that we are coming for you.
Take a leap of your own and join us!
